1.What is your name?

1.My  full name is CHASDEEP SINGH.

2. What are you Majoring in or planning to Major in at KPU?

2.Previously i was thinking to complete my studies from diploma in business administration majors in marketing but now I have changed my mind to pursue economics as majors.

3. Why are you taking this course?

3.Well , honestly saying there are couples of reasons to take this course , the first and foremost reason is I am also taking introduction to  Journalism course in this semester which i believe will be related to this course as in  both courses i am going to explore roots of Journalism . Secondly , I believe citizen journalism is one if the emerging and growing aspects in today's world which make me curious to learn about Journalism to learn about it in more depth.

4. What are you hoping to learn in this course?

4.By taking this course , i am hoping and really interested in  learning about what actually are roles and responsibilities of a citizen journalist ,various ways by which a citizen journalist collects . organize and presents chinks of information to the society such as using Blogging and other networking platforms to find piece of important data . I am hoping to have look on all skills and tools which plays a crucial role in the lives of a citizen journalist , which they use to  share immense and important information to large parts of community considering their effects and accountability etcetera.

5.What is the best place you’ve ever visited? Why?

I have been to number of beautiful tourist attractive places inn Canada and India which creates special place in my heart. Here , i Would like to mention about my recent trip to Lake Louise, Alberta. I think Banff is one of the  best place ton explorer as it offers scenic views of mountains , lakes , springs and its dense forests etcetera. here is one of picture with lake Louise.

6.     What do you like to do in your spare time?

6.There are number of things which really make me feel happy and comfortable during my leisure time which includes reading novels or non-fictious books , watching action or comedy shows or movies on Netflix , talking with my friend's and coloring.

7.     What is one thing you recommend to others and why? (e.g.. a TV show, a video game, a book, a podcast, a restaurant, a type of food) 

7.One thing which really stands out for me and made me to recommend others is to try burgers from desi Rasoi restaurant in surrey .They offers one if most delicious and highly rated Indian style burgers' really recommend everyone to go and try their food and enjoy the ambience of the place especially during festive days.

    Hi Chasdeep, your blog post was really enjoyable to read. I loved how you shared your experience at Lake Louise, it sounds like an amazing place to visit. The recommendation for Desi Rasoi’s burgers is tempting; I’ll definitely have to try them out. One suggestion: you could add a bit more about how you think journalism, especially citizen journalism, could shape society in the future. That would be an interesting way to expand on your perspective.

    Hi Chasdeep,
    Your blog shows a curious and thoughtful approach to switching your major to Economics and exploring Journalism. I respect your curiosity about the duties and resources of citizen journalists. I recommend you when talking about Lake Louise, you go into more detail about a particular memorable event or activity there to add interest and uniqueness to your story.
